Anuj tells Anupama that he heard that in anger, tongue bites sharper than a snake; what Baa did was really bad. Anu says it would be more bad when Mr Shah will hear what his mother did with his father; how ever Mr Shah was, he is a good father and a better son; she thought she would start afresh with this diwali, don’t know what else is in the store.

She asks him to go home as its too late. He leaves. She consoles Babuji who continues crying even in his sleep. At Shah house, Samar, Pakhi, and Kinjal get worried seeing Baa’s continued anger. Kinjal asks Baa to go and sleep in her room. Baa shouts at her to get out. Bapuji wakes up repeatedly panicking and crying. Anu comforts him and feeds him soup. Dolly also cries in her room while Sanjay comforts him. Ishwar Allah Jitne Bhi Rab Hai.. song plays in the background.
Anu return with blanket for Bapuji and doesn’t find him in room. She runs out searching him. Anuj notices her, and she informs that Baa left home. They search and find him enquiring about a watchman job to watchman and requesting him to get him a job. Watchman asks why. Bapuji says he doesn’t want to be a burden on his daughter, he is jobless but not useless. Anu cries hearing that and rushing to him asks what is he doing here. He says he is searching a job as he doesn’t want to be a burden on his daughter. Anu comforts him. Anuj says its late night, he should go and sleep, they will talk tomorrow morning.
Next morning, Baa performs pooja and wishes happy new year to children and Kavya. Kavya says let us start afresh with new year and bring back Bapuji. Baa says he will come back himself, he is angry now and has no other option than returning home. Samar asks if she is consoling herself to hide the truth. Baa shouts at everyone to go and get ready. Kavya says Bapuji would have returned last night itself if Anupama wouldn’t have taken him away, she is taking revenge from Baa indirectly by snatching Bapuji. Baa says they are married since 50 years even before Anu was born and it will not break easily. Kavya asks what if she snatches Bapuji as she knows to control everyone, they need to bring Bapuji back home somehow. Anu and Anuj make Bapuji wear walking shoes with a smiley on them and insists to accompany them on a walk, but Bapuji doesn’t cheer up. GK enters and even he fails to cheer him up. They lift him and forcefully take him on a walk.
Baa sees Mamaji and orders him to forget whatever happened yesterday and bring back Bapuji. Kavya says Bapuji is angry on Baa and not him, so if he goes, Bapuji will not deny him. Baa says they should leave all the issues for last year and throw it in Anuj’s house. Mamaji says even he is going. She asks if he is hurt so much with just one slap. He says he is hurt as she insulted jijaji and with her heinous act, she lost her self-respect. Baa shouts. He warns not to shout as even he can shout. In park, GK fails to cheer up Bapuji with his jokes. Anu asks Anuj what was he doing on street last night. He says he was worried for Bapuji as he knows the value of father, so he stayed back. She thanks him for his support. He says Bapuji is not only her father but also like his father, so he is their responsibility now.
Mamaji confronts Baa and says says he will not get rakhi from her on Bhai Dooj tomorrow and curses her that her days will be dark from hereon. He gives an example and says she couldn’t value jijaji and hopes she would have got a husband like Vanraj who would have got back her on track in 2 days. Kavya thinks even funny people are doing emotional drama now. Back in park, Anu, Anuj, and GK try to make Bapuji laugh with laughter therapy. Bapuji tries and says he can’t. GK breaks down noticing that. Anuj asks him to control as they can’t be weak. GK says if relationship looks like this, they are better alone. Anuj says they should think what Anu must be feeling now and be strong. Mamaji tells Baa that he will never return to her house and walks away. Baa breaks down.
Kavya gets V’s call and gets tensed thinking how will she handle situation. She provokes Baa against Anu again and says Anu must have video called Mamaji and provoked him, they should get Bapuji back home before V returns.
Anupama serves jalebis and rabri to Bapuji to cheer him up. Mamaji enters. Bapuji walks to him and asks if he came to meet him. Mamaji cries hugging him and says he came to stay with him and requests Anu to give him a place somewhere in her house, but not separate him from his jijaji. He asks Ramanuj/Anuj to recommend. Anuj says his name is Ramanuj. Anu says its his and Bapuji’s house. Mamaji jokes. Samar brings breakfast for them all. Anuj recites shayari seeing them happy. Vanraj calls Mamaji. Bapuij asks not to pick it as he doesn’t want Vanraj to know what happened here, he doesn’t want Leela and Kavya to be in more trouble. Kavya enters and says Vanraj will not find out if he returns home with them. Baa walks in next. Bapuji remembers her humiliating him and feels aback. Anu holds his hand and comforts him. Anuj tries to leave. Kavya says its okay as issue is in open now. Anu also remembers Baa humiliating Bapuji and asks her to come in. Baa remembers Kavya brainwashing her bring Bapuji home at any cost and not let Anu win.
Vanraj calls Kavya and when she doesn’t pick call, he thinks why nobody is picking his call and decides to return home. He reaches home and asks Toshu if everything is fine. Toshu says yes, he will get him tea. He asks why nobody is at home. Toshu says they have gone to temple for new year celebration. Baa holds Bapuji’s hand and says let us go home. Baa holds Bapuji’s hand and says let us go home. She orders Anu to eave her husband’s hand and tells Bapuji that they should sort out their differences at home. Anu tells Bapuji that she can stop a father but not a husband. Bapuji frees his hand, sends Baa and Kavya out and locks door. Baa pleads to open the door. Bapuji says its a wall between them. Baa justifies that whatever she did was because of the injustice she suffered. She blames Anu that her husband and grandchildren left home because of her and even her daughter is not in talking terms. Bapuji says he supported her for years and now they will die alone. Baa continues beating door and continues cursing Anu. Bapuji opens door warning her that she will see not even see his dead face if she curses his daughter, drags her in and asks what she wants to say.
Vanraj asks Toshu why family is not yet back from temple. Toshu says they must be stuck in traffic. Bapuji asks if any taunts are still left. She justifies that she got angry when he left her hand and held someone else’s hand. Bapuji says she was wrong. She says he forgot her sacrifices. He says he remembers everything; she spent whole year in 2 saris but ironed one, he had empty wallet but lived with pride because of her, he had sweets everyday because of her, his son respects him because of her, but she also humiliated him and her brother doesn’t want to see her face because of her, her children left her alone on festival day because of her; her bad deeds ruin everything in seconds; her arrogance and bitter tongue broke him down and humiliated him to the core, etc. He says he always prayed god that his pride’s lifespan should be longer than his body’s lifespan, but she ruined it. He continues confronting her and shares good words of wisdom.
Baa asks him to return home and taunt her. He says he will not go home now, he is alive today because of her daughter. Baa continues. Anu asks her to calm down. Baa yells at her to shut up. Bapuji warns her not to say anything to his daughter and says he wants to live freely and laugh and hence he cannot come with her; she was with him for 50 years and showed him happier days; he did mistakes and she corrected them, now he doesn’t have courage to tolerate her nonsense anymore. Kavya asks what if Vanraj returns and questions. He says they should tell his father died and touching Baa’s feet pleads to let him live in peace. Baa leaves. Kavya gets Toshu’s message that Vanraj returned home and panics. Anu says tell him that Bapuji has gone out.
